Remember The Milk for BlackBerry 10

The ultimate to-do list. Remember The Milk is known for being just that and it has now arrived on the BlackBerry 10 platform. For the uninitiated, Remember The Milk offers a ton of features that other to-do lists just can't accomplish. It's pretty much a to-do list that knows no bounds when it comes to helping you get organized. The app is free to download and free to use with an account, so let's look at short list of the features:
  • Manage tasks quickly and easily - An intuitive interface makes managing tasks fun. Set due dates easily with next Friday or in 2 weeks. Extensive keyboard shortcuts make task management quicker than ever.
  • Organize the way you want to - Are you a list lover? Create as many lists as you need. Into tagging? Use the task cloud to easily see what you have to do. Want to store notes along with your tasks? You can do that too.
  • Plan your time - See what's due today and tomorrow, and the things you've missed. Prioritize, estimate your time, and postpone with ease. Set tasks to repeat every week or after 2 months.
  • Work together to get things done - Share, send and publish tasks and lists with your contacts or the world. Remind your significant other to do their household chores.
  • Locate your tasks - Use the map to see where your tasks are located in the real world. See what's nearby or on your way, and plan the best way to get things done.
For free accounts, syncing of tasks and notes only occurs once every 24 hours but there is a pro account to choose from that offers plenty more, should you find you need it. If you're worried about it being an Android port, don't be. Remember The Milk runs beautifully on BlackBerry 10 and through my initial testing, everything synced up nicely. I know there is plenty of folks out there who've been waiting for this app to arrive. Remember The Milk is available in all countries and is listed as being compatible for both the BlackBerry Z10 and the BlackBerry Q10.

Q10 is now available in Canada!

Today, May 1st the BlackBerry Q10 device is available in Canada by all major carriers.

Carriers in Canada will be selling the device for $199.99 on a 3-year contract agreement. If you head over to your local carrier store in Canada the device will be available for purchase.

With the successful launch in the UK and the exclusive sold out sales by Selfridges, I would expect the BlackBerry Q10 to be a success in Canada as well.

For those of you in the United States, the wait is not much longer as the BlackBerry Q10 is expected to be released by the end of this month (May).

BlackBerry Sees Solid UK Q10 Launch, Z10 Still Doing Well

Today Jefferies analyst, Peter Masike maintained a buy rating and a projected stock price at 22.00$. The reason behind this vote of confidence is the launch of the Q10 and the continuation of good sales for the Z10

To break it down on the Q10 U.K. launch, Misek said it is going well initially with a broader launch expected this week. “Our checks indicate that initial sell-in was 50+ per store and that this initial stock was quickly sold out,” the analyst said. “Salespeople were well-versed on the device and there was more apparent buzz vs. the Z10 launch.”

Checks from the firm also showed that Z10 sales in Canada, U.S., and UK remain steady with no inventory or return issues. There was some mention of better Z10 demand due to new advertising, he said, and Z10 builds are unchanged versus the increase two weeks ago with no signs of cuts.

Seems like the BlackBerry Q10 has a higher demand than the popular all-touch BlackBerry Z10, there are still several physical keyboard lovers out there.

BlackBerry Q10 is coming soon to WIND Mobile

Hey Canadians - the BlackBerry Q10 is coming soon to WIND Mobile, and they've got the pre-registration page to prove it. We had heard that WIND would be offering the Q10, though one can imagine that much like the Z10 launch, they might be a week or two. behind. That's okay though, because WIND has some pretty sweet rate plans, so long as you're willing to pay a bit more up-front for the device. Even if you don't, there are tab options available - the important thing is, you aren't on the hook for a multi-year contract.
Any WIND Mobile customers ready to pick up the Q10? Sign up for updates over here.

BlackBerry OS 10.1 update coming

It looks like the first major software update to BlackBerry 10 OS will start rolling out later this month – just in time for the BlackBerry Q10 launch. In fact, quite a few of the new features it will bring are meant for BlackBerry Q10 users as they take advantage of its physical QWERTY keyboard

Among them will be the new Type N Go, which is a perk that provides quick access to a number of commands straight from the search bar. For example, typing "email" and then a contact's name will launch the email client and add them as a recipient. That works with BBM, videocalls, SMS, phone calls, and more. In addition, the keyboard's hardware buttons will work as shortcut keys after the update: "i" and "o" will zoom in and out respectively, while "r" or "f" will reply to or forward an email. The OS' word prediction feature will also be modified in accordance to the BlackBerry Q10 and its form factor.
