BlackBerry still holds the number 3 spot in Canada

Despite the doom and gloom surrounding BlackBerry, it appears they still hold the number 3 spot in Canada – despite a 5% drop on  a year to year basis. They even held on the number 3 spot with the PlayBook.

BlackBerry now owns 15% of the Canadian Smartphone market, according to a report by comScore. This is a 5% drop in market share on a year to year basis. However, the surprising news is that the BlackBerry PlayBook, also holds the number 3 spot in the Tablet market share. Personally, I think this is great news. Of Course, any drop in number is not good news, but considering where BlackBerry allegedly holds a virtual 0% in some places where they once dominated, it’s encouraging to see that there are some Canadians that take pride in holding onto their BlackBerry’s.

Leaked OS 2.1.0.1753 for the BlackBerry PlayBook

A new leaked OS has popped up today for the BlackBerry PlayBook. It was certainly unexpected but still very welcome. Most PlayBook users didn't expect a new OS I'm sure so anyone that is looking to tinker around a bit will want to give this one a go.

While this is a full OS there is nothing super new but it's said to have some speed improvements which is good to hear. The method for installing is the same of that for BB10 devices so you'll need to use a Windows PC to run the autoloader. Be sure to perform a full backup before you dive in and don't hold us responsible if anything breaks.

Cut The Rope, in case you're not familiar, is a cute puzzle game where you have to swipe your finger across ropes to release the delicious bundles of candy into Om Nom's mouth while ensuring you collect stars along the way. Sounds easy but there's plenty of obstacles and situations arise that make feeding Om Nom just a tad bit difficult.

Bard’s Tale for the BlackBerry PlayBook Updated and on sale

The Bard’s Tale is available for the BlackBerry Q10, Z10 and PlayBook.The PlayBook version has received a small update at this time there is no word on what has changed so if you see anything different feel free to let us know in the comments.

You may have seen Fly Kiwi Fly before when it was first released for the BlackBerry PlayBook. The good news is that it's now available also for BlackBerry 10 smartphones, and it's free!

The purpose of the game is to get Kiwi to fly as far as possible. Clearly Kiwi's can't actually fly so you will need to earn money along the way and spend it wisely in the shop to purchase aids to make Kiwi fly as far as he can. You use the handsets tilt controls to move Kiwi as he soars though the air and you can earn addition money buy collecting money bags along the way. Kiwi can also perform some mid air stunts which will help you on your quest around from country to country.
